THE R180 SPIDER LIFT: We currently offer an 18-metre tracked spider platform lift from Easy-Lift for hire. Perfect for small to medium sized jobs at height. Faster and less expensive than a scaffold. And much safer than a ladder! This machine has a vertical reach of 18 metres and a horizontal outreach of 9 metres. Easy-Lift is a reliable and robust European brand and their machines suit NZ conditions perfectly. The equipment is inspected by us before each job, and every 6 months by an independent certifier.
OUR SERVICE: is great for tradies as well as home owners, and no experience or training is required. The spider is transported and set up by our qualified operator at your job site or your home. Depending on your skills and comfort level at heights, our man may even ride along in the basket. Certified harnasses and fall arrestors are provided by us as well as fuel and everything required to run the equipment.
SHORT NOTICE BOOKINGS: We can turn up quickly – often within 2 hours! We recognize that some jobs can’t wait. More and more customers appreciate the benefit of finishing a job when they are on site rather than having to come back later.

GREAT SITE ACCESS CAPABILITIES: Thanks to its compact size, the R180 can get through a 1-metre wide gate or doorway. It can set up at sloping or uneven ground. Also, it is perfect for indoor jobs on 230V mains power.
SITE CONDITIONS: If you are unsure about site access or ground conditions, they will be assessed by us at the time of the booking at no charge. In any case, our operator always checks the site conditions before setting up the machine.

OUR CUSTOMERS
TRADE
Our service is popular with electricians, roofers, plumbers, house cleaners, arborists, telecoms installers and maintenance technicians.
Some tradespeople have been sufficiently trained on Elevating Work Platforms (EWP) allowing them to operate the aerial part of the spider after we have set it up. The fully proportional hydraulic controls respond smoothly and allow the basket to be positioned at the desired position with great precision.
For many tradespeople it is not cost effective to obtain EWP training, but instead get our operator operate the machine for them. This allows them to focus on their jobs. We have assisted several trade jobs completed in less than an hour.
PRIVATE OWNERS
Property owners are eager users of our service to do small repairs, maintenance or painting of their building or other structures, washing windows, cleaning gutters, unblocking downpipes, trimming trees or tall hedges. No experience is required as we operate the machine for you.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE MANAGERS
Our service is of particular interest to managers and caretakers of older buildings including many of Dunedin’s schools, public buildings, churches, community halls, and public and private heritage properties. These are often multistorey buildings which regularly require inspection or repairs at their exterior as well as their interior. The use of our spider allows more frequent inspections or inverventions to take place at a lower cost.
